Founding Sales Lead

We are looking for an experienced SaaS sales leader passionate about changing the future of content creation. You'll be the first sales hire at a fast-growing venture-backed startup. You'll work closely with the co-founders to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue. You'll monitor and report sales goals and be the first contact for potential customers. You will be telling the story of Aquifer and the problems we solve. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated who is capable of producing qualified leads and close deals immediately. Day-to-day, you will research companies, uncover how our solution matches their needs & present the value of our approach to prospective customers and partner with the CEO through close.


Aquifer, Inc., is based in beautiful Austin, Texas. We are transforming how animated media is made by providing brands, teams, and creators a revolutionary software-as-a-service platform to collaboratively create animated stories for social and video platforms. Aquifer enables non-animator creative teams from marketing, social media, to content to produce original animated media from videos to live streams in minutes by combining 3D art, augmented reality, cloud technologies, and predictive filmmaking techniques in one easy-to-use mobile and web platform. Aquifer is helping to shape the next generation of creators, video storytelling, and entertainment. Our customers include Crunchyroll, G2 esports, Blue Studios, and more.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting
  • Proactive outreach & qualification of named accounts
  • Uncovering prospects pain and other decision criteria
  • Fielding inbound sales calls, emails & qualifying inbound leads
  • Collaborate with CEO to close deals
  • Conduct product demonstrations
  • Develop outbound sales campaigns
  • Represent Aquifer at conferences and industry events
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop sales materials
  • Development of critical sales processes and playbooks
  • Recruiting, hiring, managing of BDRs and sales team
Optional but Encouraged:
  • Experience working with creative teams to develop compelling sales materials
  • Understanding of the social media content landscape and trends
  • Experience in a start-up environment
Education and Experience:

  • 5-7 years in SaaS sales role, focused on inside sales
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, not required
  • Base annual salary: $75,000 - $95,000 plus commission (uncapped)
